PlumbRoute ("PlumbRoute," "we," "us") operates plumbroute.com, a referral service that helps homeowners request a connection with independent local plumbing service providers. This policy explains what information we collect through the site, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

When you submit a request through the form on this site, we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address (optional), a description of your plumbing issue, and the city and service you selected. We also record the page you submitted the request from, any campaign or referral parameters attached to your visit (such as UTM tags), your IP address, your browser and device type (user agent), and the date and time of your submission together with a record of the consent statement shown next to the form. When you browse the site, we automatically collect standard analytics information such as pages viewed, referring page, device/browser type, and approximate location, through Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics. If we add call routing in the future, this policy will be updated to describe the call information collected.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, including which pages are viewed and how visitors interact with the request form. These tools use cookies and similar technologies and may process data outside the country you're located in. We do not currently use advertising pixels or retargeting tags. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on.

How we use information

We use the information above to route your request to an independent local plumbing provider or provider network that services your area, to operate and improve the site, and to understand aggregate site usage. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

How we share information

When you submit a request, your name, phone number, email address (if provided), and the details of your request are shared with the independent local provider or provider network we route you to, so they can respond to your request. We also send request notifications to our own team through email and internal messaging tools so we can follow up. We may share aggregate or de-identified analytics data with service providers who help us operate the site (such as our analytics and hosting providers). We do not sell personal information, and we do not share your information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data retention

We retain request records for as long as reasonably needed to support the referral, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations, and we retain aggregate analytics data in line with our analytics provider's standard retention settings.

Your choices

You can decline cookies in your browser, use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and contact us at the address below to ask what information we have connected to a specific phone number or request. If you are a resident of a state with statutory privacy rights (such as access, deletion, or opt-out of sale/sharing), contact us and we will respond consistent with applicable law; we do not sell personal information as defined under those laws.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults arranging home repair services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
